Event Description

Making IT good for Society by David Evans

Information technology not only drives industry, banking and big business but also government, society and community.

As technologies such as Cloud Computing, Big Data and the Internet of Things develop, they present new opportunities, but bring with them big responsibilities for privacy. IT can be a powerful tool for social inclusion, but also a major risk to social justice.

Open Source Security – the OWASP Way, by Adrian Winkles

OWASP seeks to make software security visible, so that individuals and organisations are able to make informed decisions. This talk looks at some of the Open Source approaches and options available to help support that mission.

Title to be announced, Lauri Love

Talk summary to be announced.

British Computer Society East Anglia Branch Annual General Meeting will follow the talks.
