Event Description

This talk is for C# programmers who are curious about F#, a new multi-paradigm programming language in Visual Studio 2010.

In: test driven development, classes and functions

Out: maths, monads and moth-eaten jumpers

Expect plenty of practical examples with live code samples, including interop between C# and F#.

About the speaker:

Phil Trelford is a Software Developer and Architect at an ISV supplying real-time electronic trading software. His career so far spans over 20 years, with experience in video games, leisure, retail and financial sectors. He has been programming in F# for nearly 5 years, picking it up while working at Microsoft Research in Cambridge. Phil is a regular speaker, blogger, Open Source author and helps organize the London F# Meetup Group.
